History

The introduction of the Heritage Cast Iron range of gates and railings is the result of years of careful research and development. Using traditional foundry techniques, the patterns faithfully replicate those found in the original ‘Sun Foundry’ catalogue of 1897.

Partners Colin Stewart and Allan Cameron Harley set up the original foundry in Adelaide to satisfy the huge demand for decorative cast iron gates and railings in Australia in the 19th Century. Their designs represent a ‘gracious era’ when manufacturers took time to produce quality and long-lasting decorative items.

The Heritage Cast Iron range has been created from totally authentic designs and materials and is perfect for both restoration and regeneration projects.
